Let’s first address the elephant in the room. We previously mentioned that we were hoping to launch at the beginning of the year, and we are sorry that it has taken us a lot longer than expected. Family additions, getting ready for mass production and keeping the cost as low as possible are more complicated than they seem.

It has certainly been a busy year of active development: working with factories to further improve our hardware, preparing for a massive launch and making everyone’s favorite Timebox even more configurable to fit all board game lovers’ needs. Here are a few of the things we have been working on:

• You can now choose from a number of options to decide what happens when you run out of time.

• Added a quick-start option by creating preset config tags that you can clone to get started really quickly without needing to use the Android and iOS apps.

• Added new fonts.

• The privacy lens can now be removed for games where you want everyone around the table to see the display clearly.

• Added more cool animations to better show what is happening when Timebox is moved from player to player.

And there are still more features planned, as we want to make Timebox amazing for all of you from day one.

In preparation for the launch, we will be at SPIEL Essen 2026 (booth 3P200), and we are already planning for UKGE 2027 for all our UK fans.
